November 30, 2010

Today was a good day. We were on the CTV news Calgary talking about how Anaya is fed donated breast milk. It was a good interview I think. Here is the link.

Anaya's Milky NEWS Story

We are able to fly home on Thursday if the weather is good and we are so excited to go home. Nelson has become a winter wonderland of fresh powder. Good thing I got some snowpants at the ski swap. Anaya has a little down snowsuit too. I wonder what she will think of the snow.

I can imagine flakes falling gently on her face, and her wondering what the hell that small cold feeling is. (smile)

  4. Camara,
Although everyday that I read your blog I can feel the emotions behind and through your words, seeing you and watching the news story on you and Anaya brought it to a whole new level. I am still wiping tears from my eyes. I am sure that I do not need to explain the tears to you, but they were tears of sadness, joy and hope.
I hope you have a safe trip back to Nelson on Thursday and I can't wait to read about the winter wonderland there and Anaya's reaction to snowflakes falling on her face. Sending you positive thoughts and energy across the miles.

  5. What a great news story - and it was nice to "see" you and Anaya in the news video. Such a precious beautiful little girl you have. I laughed, picturing Anaya's reaction to snow flakes on her face. You're a great writer! Hope you have a safe trip home. xo

  6. I woke up to a national CBC radio news story this morning (December 3) about sharing breast milk/breast milk banks that was all brought to the forefront by you and little Anaya. Great work, Camara. You are a light in the world during your own time of challenges.
